With the way carriers tend to
nickle 'n
dime us all these days, you won't find this camp complaining about anything offered up gratis. AT&T's latest round of freebies does require you to be an AT&T Unity subscriber -- meaning that you rely on AT&T for wireless
and landline service -- but affords those who are in the loop free calling to and from any AT&T phone number. Moreover, it allows AT&T wireless customers to keep their rollover minutes fresh for 12 months, prevents anytime minute usage when phoning another AT&T customer, and includes unlimited night and weekend minutes. Best of all, these gifts are also being given to current Unity customers in addition to newcomers, so make sure you eye your next bill extra carefully.

Time to clear some things up:
~ You only have to have a combined bill with the landline and cell phone on it (before, you had to have unlimited local + long distance)
~ The original Unity plans didn't have Rollover on them
~ Cell plan is minimum $60/month for one phone (900 off-network daytime minutes) or $70/month for the first two lines of a family plan (700, lines 3-5 are $9.99 each)

Just to clarify, by off-network you mean out of network, like non-AT&T, right?
Off-network is usually roaming.

Yeah, to non-at&t people. It sounded better in my head.

For everyones info....
I just spent more than 3 hours on the phone with ATT who then had to transfer me to Cingular who had me on hold for 24 minutes to get different answers from everyone. The problem... to have the calls be free to all customers of ATT/Cingular/Bellsouth?SBC etc - you must have your bills combined & must be under the unity plan. All of which I signed up for - none of which was applied (including the bundle discounts from ATT) no combined bill, no cingular bills & an attempt to charge over $400 for the 700 minute family plan for 3 months. Advise - STAY AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE!!
I was shocked to discover that the Nextel/Sprint merger has gone so much better - I'll be going back to Nextel ASAP.

Don't rollover minutes already last for a year? Or was Unity just kinda crappy?
