"Shuriken" is Sharp's Sidekick 4?

Remember those renderings of two upcoming Sidekicks, one labeled the "Sidekick Slide" and the other called out simply as the "Sidekick"? We now know a heck of a lot more about the Slide, and it seems the mysterious "Sidekick" might be getting outed now, too. Hiptop3.com is reporting that the handset is codenamed "Shuriken," a device that will ultimately become the Sidekick 4 sporting a full 3 inch widescreen display, microSD slot, and 1.3 megapixel camera. Unlike the Motorola-made Slide, the Sidekick 4 will be made by Danger's old pal Sharp. None of this is verified, of course, but the leaked screen cap is calling out a Q4 release -- in Germany, at least -- so we'll know soon enough.

yes Q4 is Oct to Dec. 07Q4 = 4th quarter 2007

It actually isn't going to be the sidekick 4, its going to be the sidekick LE

It actually isn't going to be called the Sidekick LE. Most of what is actually inside this device - technology-wise is a departure from what is currently in any sidekick to date.

Feel free to give up on what it will really be called.

I miss spoke either way. I meant to say the LX, not LE. That was mostly a guess I suppose but when you get two new logos and two new websites and two new sidekicks (one of which we already know is the slide) it just seemed to make sense to me that it would be the LX.

I don't know if it is supposed to be any great step forward from what is in the sidekick 3. At least some of the other sites that have been covering it have been saying that its mosly the same tech as the sidekick 3 just thinner and longer.

If you have anything else to share about it let us know though.

why the hell wont they get rid of that God-Forsaken 1.3mp camera. It takes photos of nothing. It is the most piece of S*** part of the phone. WHY WHY WHY! Idont know, maybe it's the bullsh** flash. Yeah! Maybe they'll fix the flash and that will solve...aaaarrgh! CAPCOM! makin millions off ppl, rehashing the same s***. Give us somethin' new already.

I would choose the Shuriken because motorola software i think always have a lagging problem i.e. RAZR, SLVR, KRZR, etc. The Shuriken looks thinner than the Zante. Why is it still 1.3 MP? is there video playback?

I hope it has video capabilities. It would seem like a waste to have a wide screen and not have video.
