Beejive releases JiveTalk IM for iPhone alpha
It seems Beejive's JiveTalk for iPhone is the first IM client -- in alpha or otherwise -- to actually get out of the gate for the iPhone. I have never used a web based version of this, but I BETA tested JiveTalk for the Blackberry Pearl and it was an excellent app, so I would imagine the same for the iPhone.
The plethora of support in such a short time for the iPhone is awesome, but I sure wish Apple would open it up to some third party apps. Web based is cool, but imagine what people can do with some native apps with all the power the iPhone has.

I used it for a 10 minute conversation on EDGE and it seems to be well intergrated with the whole user touch experience. I throughly enjoyed using the app. I am sure it will even get better with time. Bookmarked and will surely use again soon.

I am a Blackberry Jive Talk user and plan to get an iPhone soon. Jive Talk has been an amazing app IMO. The support is top notch, the app is super stable and I love using it. I cannot wait to try it out on my new iPhone. I would say whether you have a BB or iPhone you should give Jive Talk a whirl.

umm...when i try to use it, i just get an error balloon that says "JavaScript 1." What do you think that's all about?

I don't own an Iphone (yet), or ever used Jive Talk, even though it does seem like a really good IM app compared to some I've used in the past. After looking at their website, I do have to like Jive Talk's love for Office Space:
