When the DOJ or whoever ruled that is is not copyright infringement to unlock a phone I knew someone would figure out a way to make sure it was illegal and then walks in Apple.

The process they have in place means the only way to truly free yourself from the carrier that they did business with, is to hack their firmware which IS copyright infringement even if you are doing it to follow with what the DOJ had said before that you can do.

I find it ironic that for once Apple is the one forcing customers to do what they want while there are WM phones for every carrier.
