V-MODA Vibe Duo earbuds class up your iPhone
Just when it seemed like the only option for better iPhone earbuds was to make them yourself, along comes the V-MODA Vibe Duo. Sure, it'll cost you, but for exactly $101 you can trade up to the luxury and style of this sweet-ass trio. The earbud / microphone combo features V-MASQUE dynamic drivers, a noise-canceling technology called BLISS, and (according to the propaganda), "vibrant bass" coupled with "vivacious highs". Clearly a package aimed at those with a taste for the finer things in life (like spending almost 17% of the cost of your phone on earbuds), the Vibe Duo comes with a 24k gold plated connector, leather pouch, six pairs of clear silicon fittings (plus two sets of black), and the assurance that you'll look considerably more classy when speaking to your agent.

I don't know if these match up to Shure's quality, but if they do, than spending the money is a seperate transaction in all ways from buying an iPhone. My Shure ear-bud style headphones were $100 and they are amazing. If you fly a lot or simply can't stand to hear outside noises, than this is probably a pretty good investment. Plus, they're not that ugly white/sterile look of Apple's head phones. I can spot an iPod owner a mile away from the bright glare!

Ive had the non microphone version of these for about a year and i can say they are the best headphones you can buy for the money.
Excellent bassy sound that flatter the weak tones of the ipod, very comfortable to wear and good looks mean they come highly recommended for an upgrade. Build quality has been further improved of late after a small weakness in the jack area.
Only those with a passion for reproducing a short string orchestra need to look elsewhere. ;)
