Sony Ericsson 'Unique' seesaw concept phone
We actually went the distance and conducted a poll, but none of us here at Engadget have actually dreamed of owning a mobile that our autonomous Legos could seesaw on. Of course, that's not to say we wouldn't take interest if one were to surface. Enter Karsten Willmann's "Unique" concept handset, which longs to fit into Sony Ericsson's lineup and make us all paranoid over that beautiful, unprotected OLED display. Additionally, the built-in jog dial and bezel-less design sure get thumbs up from us, but unless this thing ends up constructed from some mighty rigid materials, we don't see it holding up for too long. More pictorial delight after the jump.

Nice buttons...for a person that's half blind.
Nah...as an art director, I don't like this concept.

"As an art director"? Hell, you could be the art director for the Olympics being held in London in the near future, and we all know what [s]he did to the logo... some things are better left unsaid.
What I am curious about is the reason for the bump on the back. Why seesaw? seesaw seesaw seesaw seesaw
Say it over and over...

I kind of love it...very simple and straightforward, not to mention beautiful in a Star Trek sorta way. I'm sure there's a market for this kind of phone for people who don't need a bunch of whiz bang features.

Either I'm completely missing something or the "seesaw" component of this phone has no real function or meaning.
Please advise.

well maybe its a gag and its really ericsons new line of playground equipment...
or, it finaly contains the photon death beam emitter. i bet the likes of paris hilton would jump all over the chance to have this phone.
i bet it breaks in the first 3 digits of a phone number form finger pressure.
but it DOES have a bit of cool lookingniess to it.

Will the cell-phone creativity well never dry up?
