iPhone spottings, "first hand" claims abound
We know, the world's obvious obsession with the iPhone is indeed getting a bit out of hand, but we can't deny that we wish it was our hands wrapped tightly around the iPhone purportedly pictured there on the right. With just eight days to go, it seems that the iPhone has become a bit less of a hermit and has managed to make itself seen on numerous occasions. Most interesting, however, is a post over at the MacRumors forums in which a self-proclaimed "wine director in a prominent restaurant" not only caught an "Apple employee" toying with the coveted handset at dinner, but managed to score a few precious moments (five minutes to be precise) with it as well. Of course, most of the monologue covered aspects that you've all been made aware of ad nauseum, but if you're in the mood for humoring yourself, feel free to read along and believe what you will.Read - More iPhone sightings

The world is not obsessed with iPhone, it's you retarded editors on engadgetmobile.
I'm sick of seeing 2-3 news per day about some crappy iPhone that does half of what my PocketPC can do..

It's so cute to see the Apple-haters :-)

Why hate the engadgetmobile editors, they're just giving the news that a lot of people are looking for. I dont even want to buy the thing, but I like hearing about it. Calm down budd, no need to call anyone retarded.

I actually like hearing about the StevePhone, I know I'm not getting one, but it's cool hearing about the updated specs and whatnot.
What I AM sick of is the people who talk about its if they've owned the thing for years now and swear by it when they've never even touched the damn phone.

You're darn right. The frickin' world is not obsessed with the iPhone. Well, not yet anyway. But most likely after they sell the first five million iPhones in the US, the entire world will be the next logical step.

I'm not an Apple hater, I own an iMac and a Macbook Pro and I am sick of it as well.
The phone is overhyped and is destined for disappointment.

...Thus the reason why you should subscribe to the FILTERED RSS Feeds... Duh! You just cannot stand reading about all this hype... so why do you choose to read it in the first place? 'Tis called "ignorance"... And how it works is that if you choose to visit the "retards" on the Engadget Mobile page and discover another posting on the "destined for disappointment" iPhone, YOU FRICK'IN DON'T READ IT! - and don't litter the comments listings with your woes - PLEASE. Thank you.

I'll go a bit farther, if you do not mind: Please try and refrain from using words like "retarded" to express your frustration. Doing so not only indicates your limited understanding of vocabulary, but is insulting as well.

I figured I'd let you know since secretly you seem very interested in owning an iPhone. You're welcome.

I've said it a million times already, and I'll say it again: This IPhone mania is good for us all, because now EVERYONE (HTC, Samsung, Palm, Sony, Microsoft, LG, Motorola, Nokia etc...)HAS TO STEP THEIR GAME UP. Which means smartphone owning people like me (who currently is the owner of a 8525 and a Treo 650) will get better products. And, once the price wars begin, it will be even better. Just call me a fan boy of INNOVATION. Oh and big shout to xda developers and JasJamming that Black-IV-Shadow is killing the WM6 Rom game right now.

I have some grainy footage of what had to be an iPhone swimming in my local lake. It had a blunted, rectangular head, a very slim profile, and CoverFlow. I believe.
