Meizu's latest MiniOne (M8) incarnation
Here you have it, what looks to be a (re-touched) photograph of a real engineering sample of the Meizu MiniOne (M8). The picture was posted by CEO, Jack Wong, with the promise of more pictures to come in a "few days." At the moment, the 58 x 105 x 11.8-mm M8 is said to carry a spec list which includes a 667MHz ARM11 processor running a Windows CE 6.0 kernel up on a 3.3-inch, 720 x 480 pixel touchscreen display. The MiniOne M8 model will pack GSM with EDGE data while the MiniOne M8 w ("w" for worldphone we presume) is said to go WCDMA/HSDPA/GSM/EDGE. WiFi, Bluetooth, and what appears to be a 3 megapixel camera also come standard with your choice of 4, 8, and 16GB of flash capacities. While we've seen pricing and an "end of 2007" release date before, the specs have changed so dramatically since then that we'll just have to continue holding tight as this pup evolves. You know, if they can actually push this wunderkind out the door.

ATTENTION ALL APPLE HATERS! ATTENTION ALL APPLE HATERS!
This machine may be your only hope at having a device that trumps......eh hmmm... I mean competes with the iphone. I'm in China often enough that I will be able to pick one up. By that time I will have put the iphone through its paces. The iphone is a "must have" for me. I have heard a lot of crap about other phones having the "iphone capabilities" but I have yet to see one device encompass it all. So-o-o-o-o an iphone now and a Meizu whatchamacallit thinger-r-r-r uhhh later. I poke fun at the name because the specs diminish on this thing with every new Meizu company update! Gees!

That's too funny, because as the 29th gets closer, the specs on the iPhone diminish. No MMS (incoming OR outgoing). No Flash. No real 3rd party applications. Tied to a single service provider in the U.S. Tied to using iTunes (though the Apple faithful won't mind this, those new to the cult may find it to be a problem).
Just wait for the threads and posts and blog entries to start popping up early in July, after the product has reached the masses. I'm betting a good deal of them will be less than glowing once reality shows up at the party.

Help me understand where Apple previously stated or spec'd that the iphone would have MMS, Flash, 3rd Party applications, and multiple carriers????? You can't can you? I will have both the Iphone and the Meizu too! It's just funny to read the Apple Bashing from persons like you. Even if the iphone is better than the others out there you will still fish for any imperfection (perceived or otherwise) so that you can have something to bash! Lighten up man. Tune out of the iphone articles and save yourself the grief of posting criticism's before you have even put a finger on the device. As I stated, I will have both given that Meizu's spec's don't decline all the way down to being a "Handspring" (remember those??)!

....screw the iPhone, I'm getting this.
....who am I kidding, I'm getting both! I was the one who was vehemently against the RAZR now sporting a v3xx as backup, which, of course, is justified because it has HSPDA *with shift eyes, walks away inconspicuously*.

Maybe you're the one who should lighten up? It's not necessarily that "apple-haters" are just looking for flaws so that they can intentionally bash the iPhone. Everybody wants certain features in a phone . . . and as the launch date nears, SOME those people who had such high-hopes for the iPhone get more and more disappointed. What's so wrong with wanting a phone to have MMS? I want to be able to send multimedia messages since not everyone that I know has email or can get it through their phone. What's wrong with wanting REAL support for 3rd party applications? I actually make use of smartphones (REAL ones, that is) and don't just buy them because I think that they're "cool". You may be "fine" with the iPhone just the way that it is, despite all the recent specs that have surfaced but that's just YOU. EVERYBODY is entitled to have their own likes and dislikes. Remember, just because YOU like it, doesn't mean that EVERYONE feels the same way. We get the point. YOU'RE AN APPLE LOVER. You don't have to get your feelings all hurt and get so defensive just because someone doesn't see things your way.

I would not call myself an Apple lover by far.... Naw man you got that wrong but the tone of my writing is mellow. Each one to himself. I see a lot of crap (in my opinion) that is out there in the tech world. The one thing I don't do is read every article about them and then post hate or bash or whatever you want to call it. I just stay as far away from it as possible, why waste time and energy if its not for me..... that seems more civil. The fact that I do like about the iphone is that due to its UI and core software it is scaleable and some missing functionality will be enhanced. I don't have to defend the product or the company man. I do find it difficult to sift through the same whining and crap from people who could just pass on it. Just PASS ON IT.... Your comments were tasteful man and so I take my hat off to you and I hope you get a N95 or Meizu (if it proves to be more than vaporware) or whatever............ As I stated, I am a tech fanatic and certainly not a Fan Boy..... So like I said; "I'll have both....iphone and Meizu" Out...
