They would love nothing more than to have the globes 95% GSM/EDGE networks convert to CDMA 1XRTT and 2000. Why? GREEEEEEEEED!! Ericsson was a spin-off of Qualcomm. QCOMM owns the patents to CDMA. I don't think they would have been issued patents had the military actually developed it.
