Red Pearl makes its debut on Rogers
Leave it to Rogers to sneak out another color in the BlackBerry Pearl stable without having an official announcement anywhere in sight. Since May 9, Rogers has been quietly selling the candy apple red 8120 (8100, just kidding) for $249.99 (about $230) on a (gulp!) three year contract. Now, the only question is why would RIM and Rogers release the Pearl in such a lovely shade without a ton of fanfare? Maybe they were still backlogged from other events.

Is it just me, or is this cosmetically different than the one released on AT&T/Cingular? Notice the lettering on this one has white font over red keys in the center, whereas the AT&T one has white keys and black lettering.

Think this looks just a bit better in its original black...

Trust me this looks WAY better than the original black. I had one only reason I don't anymore is because I couldn't STAND Cingular & their crappy service & even worse billing issues (they disconnected an account that was less than 25 days old for non-payment NOT 25 days past due the account had been open LESS than 30 days!!!) I canceled it & surprise surprise no cancellation fee on the bill & NO CHARGE for the less than 25 days service. SMH
