Our parcel carrier has been a
busy bunch the past few days and today will be no different -- the
LG VX8700 for Verizon Wireless arrived at our doorsteps today. We decided to take a few pictures of the
unboxing process and share our initial impressions of
The Network's latest toy. Put simply, the phone is beautiful and pictures do it no justice. It has a great, solid feel to it, has a snazzy 2 megapixel shooter, and a horizontal
OLED outside display that performs better than we expected. LG decided to throw in EV-DO for data and expandable memory via microSD. Be on the lookout for the full review!

I've had one for almost two weeks now and love it.

Not to be that guy, but I'd say *those* pictures do it no justice. Tripod FTW.

The new VZ fon looks like it could be productive...tho I have to work in "rural" SW Fla. so we've only had minimal ev-do for months...its the best thing going so far and the top spec fon is the HTC 6700 with Sprint or VZ network...VZ is such a P***** having tried to knock out tethering in hopes of locking up their aircard....but they're sales are slow..good news is tethering is possible via internet bloggers whom got the codes & start up routine...thanks, tech nuts..me too

Seriously, how many red bull's did you drink before you took those pics?
Let's get a review on this one - fast! I've read the cnet, phonescoop, and few other reviews, but an engadget review would be sweet.
Has anyone tried using Bitpim with this? Apparently their next release will have support for the 8700.
