Sony Ericsson P700i in the wild

We're finally starting to see real pics of the P700i trickle in from out on the interweb -- good thing, too, as we were seriously considering a moratorium on this madness -- and it seems the lads at mobilecowboys.nl got their hands on some pretty decent pics of the new UIQ 3 device. Lo and behold, one even features a "system" screen which lists the device name as "P700i." The word from the gents who had a chance to play with it is that it has a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, triple band 900 / 1800 / 1900 with UMTS (this seems rather non-North American to us), WiFi, jogdial, touchscreen, and 160MB of internal storage. Of course, until it gets launched any of this could well change, and as usual we will be posting those updates here.

Nobody in North America, that's for sure. I assume everyone elsewhere will though, as usual.

I thought Apple had effectively killed that notion that we like using a stylus to input on a small screen. And that we like not having a standard headphone jack and using proprietary accessories in order to connect our headphones.

Sony Ericsson sells the majority of their phones off their own website (and usually unlocked). If available for the U.S. market, I doubt you'll ever seen this phone available from any carrier.

Can someone answer me this? I'm on T-Mobile USA and as far as I can tell, all but one of T-Mobile's roaming partners (outside the Caribbean) use the 900 and 1900 frequencies. So why is this considered not friendly to North America? Is it "just" AT&T?
