Sprint's Motorola Q left out of WM6 party?
Shelled out for the newer Sprint Motorola Q with Windows Mobile and EV-DO goodness? That's great -- but don't let the next sentence steam you. Word on the street is that Sprint is not going to be providing a Windows Mobile 6 update for its version of the Q. It's already a bummer that Sprint's Q doesn't have some of the carrier's flagship features (Picture Mail, Wireless Backup, Video Mail, Sprint TV, and so on) four months after release; now, the unit may never even see Windows Mobile 6 in its Sprint lifetime. Ah, what could have been, eh?[Thanks, Ice Cold]

Will Verizon be offering the WM6 upgrade on the Moto Q?
Ice Cold @ Apr 19th 2007 11:36AM
Yup insiders over at everythingq.com forums claim that Sprint has test Q's running WM6 but have internally decided that Sprint's Q will not get WM6 which Microsoft is givibg away to other carriers T-Mobile Cingular.
Microsoft really wanst everyone on board with WM6 why is Sprint not playing nice with the other kids.

No MMS
No Video Mail
No Sprint TV
No Power Vision Access website to check your bill
No Free Yahoo email account acesss
No Wireless back up
No Picture Mail
No Sirius streaming satellite radio
All this is true but Sprint still Pushes it as a Power Vision phone. How can you sell a camera phone in 2007 and have no Picture Mail and no Video mail capability?
and now
NO WM6
It looks like Sprint wanst to forget about this phone as fast as they can and not support it anymore.

Hmm yup that sounds like Sprints normal operating procedure.

this is comedy GOLD I tell you what.
the sprint "smartphones" are anything but, and they obviously can't sell in the territory. I feel sorry for anyone who didn't do their research on the phone.
*hugs his verizon Q*
best of the bunch...hands down, well until the new Q comes out at least :D

Dont believe it. I spoke with a couple of sprint reps in different diostricts and it appears it is going to be rolling out Q4 of 2007. They are looking to release its update with the introduction of the ppc 6800, so that while the ppc 6800 is on the market they will quietly update wm6. Plus there is always the possibility of someone posting an upgarde that is not "offical" and us sprint users to be able to use it. Picture messaging is possible, as is sprint TV. If you know how to hack, it can work, i know i picture message all the time. I just do it as an email, and it works fine for me. Dont give up hope sprint, trust me, it will come in due time, it just may not happen quite how we hope it will.

How about you... and your phones... verse me, and The Revolution?
SyncSysop @ Apr 22nd 2007 3:39PM
Maybe they are just waiting until the Motorola Q9 for WM6? Why waste your time on the old q and an old OS if you have a new Q and a new OS within the next 30 days.....
Syndil @ Apr 23rd 2007 7:13PM
The Q9 is GSM. Sprint won't be getting it.
RICH @ Jun 18th 2007 1:48AM
THIS Q PHONE TOTALLY SUCKS CANT WAIT TO GET RID OF IT!
