BlackBerry 8300 coming to AT&T next month?
Rumors are just that -- rumors -- until they start to take shape and more people can confirm them. That being said, this one's pretty juicy: sources tell us AT&T the BlackBerry 8300 has appeared on their internal website with a tentative ("tentative" as in "close our eyes and hope for the best") launch date of May 25th. That date would fall right in line with Boy Genius and his predictions, making for a fabulous month of May (for BlackBerry fans, anyhow!).[Thanks, anonymous tipster]

I don't doubt May, but I do doubt any phone would get released on the 25th (a Friday??)

why do we need A N O T H E R phone? for that matter, why do we need another dvd player, pmp player, lcd screen or any of the other myriad items that come out in droves constantly? Manufacturers are pumping out devices so fast, they don't have the time to truly test them for robustness and sustainability. The world we live in is so disposable, we don't have the resources to support all the things we dump when we get new stuff.

why do we need A N O T H E R comment?
How is this relevant to the 8300? Where's your scoop on issues with the testing of the 8300? Huh?

why is it Verizon never gets cool phones first? why is it Verizon never gets ANY GOOD PHONES? what world do you live in, the rest of us live in a world where Verizon's antiquated technology is only comparable to Cingular / AT&T because of the amount of towers they have.... the rest of us (read: entire world) uses GSM, time to get with the program!

I live only a few hours out of NYC and GSM is horrible. CDMA rules out here, unfortunately. My Sprint coverage is great, however, if they don't get the 8300 before the end of the year, I will switch.

Boy Genius is now reporting that the 8300 will be released through T-mobile.

Does anyone know whether it will be T-mobile or AT&T/Cingular that will be getting the 8300?
Thanks!
