It's time for spring cleaning in AT&T's lineup, and since we
got hold of a fresh price sheet a few days back, more details have filtered in as to what we can expect in the next few weeks. Pictured above is the lowly 2610 candybar from Nokia, a cameraless phone that's destined to replace the
6030 -- it'll hit for $190 devoid of any commitments or just $40 on a two-year. Next up, we hear that the
LG CU500v will still be the very first device from AT&T to support its new, questionably useful one-way
Video Share service, despite the fact that it doesn't appear in the carrier's most recent pricing (still no exact date on when it might drop). Finally, good news for road warriors without PC Card slots: rumor has it that both USB and ExpressCard modems will hit before we say goodbye to the month of April. Cheers to that!

How long has cingular been talking about the CU500v? I'm starting to think Verizon is going to be Cingular to launching video sharing. Yes, I said Verizon. CDMA EVDO Rev A has video sharing ability. Look at the specs of Razr MAXX Ve. It says it has video sharing.

Who cares? No one wants a crippled Verizon phone anyway. All CU500's will be upgradable via firmware at a cingular store to a CU500v. Video calling is only one way though... dont know how useful that will be... might as well record a clip and send it via MMS. Probably cheaper.

video calling will be one way - but, you can flip the one-way between callers by pushing a button. so person 1 can start a video call and do a dance that person 2 can see, then person 2 can clicky the flip buttony, and then do a dance that person 1 can see.
kinda like a walky-talky.

"No one wants a crippled Verizon phone anyway."
No one. Main reason why I hate Verizon (I use Cingular) but it's just that Cingular has been talking about the CU500v for months now. I was being pesimistic.
"All CU500's will be upgradable via firmware at a cingular store to a CU500v."
I thought we already confirmed that's not true. Cingular said "it's not possible" but that probably won't stop people from howardforums from dumping the firmware

Oh I feel for you guys, not only has the 2610 been out here in Australia for six months but it can be bought for $79 prepaid or $99 outright. Or in Us dollars thats $65 prepaid or $81 outright. Oh and it is 100% free on any contract with no rebates to worry about.

For those who have verizon or sprint, not even with ev-do rev Z that network will be capable of video calling, cdma can't support voice and data at same time, do some research and learn.
