Those Californian prices are too high; Cricket and MetroPCS offer almost statewide service (each in different markets) for less. To match they would have to throw in unlimited data/texting and nationwide long distance, too.
Here in the Central Valley, Sprint has previously done a $50 unlimited calling plan; they stopped since not many signed up... with the 2 year contract and all (which Cricket and MetroPCS don't require). They even did an unlimited family plan; I hope they do bring that one back, though, since Cricket and MetroPCS don't really have one (unless you count a $10 discount one).
