Hands-on with the LG Prada

At the O2 booth at CeBIT we had an opportunity to go hands-on with much-loved but not often touched LG KE-850-based Prada. We have been diggin' this phone since we first laid eyes on it, but now that we have finally had a chance to use it a bit, we can't help but feel fairly underwhelmed. The build quality looks top-shelf, but feels like inexpensive plastic, and while the idea behind the touch interface is grand, typing an address in a browser was nasty. That being said, the lovely PR type from O2 told us that it was most definitely her fav handset and that she was hoping to take one home, so what do we know? We won't bore you with the specs again, but we will share the pics!

It's a really nice phone. one thing that i was exited about seeing on this phone but the picture didn't show was the text message. if they would do different from iphone. Its really nice, i like the black on phones. I wounder if it would ever get U.S. probably not. At least this one has 3G something different.

There are no pics of the web url interface, I am assuming it's like the messaging interface and is a T9 setup. This isn't that bad when considering trying to cram a touchscreen qwerty on that small a device would be annoying.
If LG had just done a different version for Prada and dropped this about $300 lower than they will ask for it, I am sure it would be an insanely popular phone.

This phone actually looks pretty nice. I'm not as thrilled with the specs (I was hoping for a smartphone or something), but at least it looks way better than that Dolce & Gabanna RAZR. It just looked like a gold RAZR, I wouldn't even brag if I had that phone, but yeah, I think that the Prada phone will be overpriced for its specs considering that it's Prada. I personally buy my electronics for the features that they provide, not necessarily because it has some major designer brand as a badge . . .
