Amp'd Motorola Q coming
Looks like some fool revealed Amp'd's next phone by leaving a user manual up on their downloads site. The irrational obsession with Motorola continues with the Amp'd Q, and while they obviously didn't say when it's coming or for how much, if you didn't already take the chance to buy this thing on Sprint or Verizon (and aren't interested in waiting for its predecessor, the Q q9) then you'll finally have a much hipper carrier option for taking one home. Predecessor - "someone or something that comes before". I don't think this is the predecessor to anything at the moment.

"waiting for its predecessor"?
Well, I guess if you were waiting for Star Wars Episode 1, that sentence makes sense. But otherwise... wha?

According to my ampd rep, the release date for this thing keeps getting pushed back. I believe the release date is now very late 2007. So bascially, expect it never. I can tell you, though, that it would behoove them to get this out the door ASAP, because smartphones have become the new bling.

I wonder if this is their answer to Helio's dual-slider... I suppose this wouldn't be a bad way to go, but it'd be nice if they start releasing more easy breezy Japanesey phones from Kyocera.
Hey, that's a thought. NTT or KDDI should buy half of Amp'd so we could have ourselves a Japanese version of Helio! Hmm....

woopie.....another brew based moto q that carries a 40 a month dollar data plan.....does anyone even use the moto q on verizon's network? i dont like the q anyways but at least sprint only charges 15 bucks a month for data access. i can't see spending 40 & 50 a month on top of an already costly wireless bill just to use a basic pda..... may the verizon and amp'd moto q RIP....
