The Bang & Olufsen Earset 2 has been
in the prepping stages for quite a while now, but it looks like the rounded and svelte Bluetooth headset is in the approval stage at the FCC. This means -- hopefully -- that the Earset 2 will be for sale sometime in the near future. With aluminum and rounded cladding, the Earset 2 is easily identifiable as a B&O unit -- no harsh edges to see here. With an apparent combination of bone induction and microphone pickup, this baby ought to be a very good performer. If you spot it for sale, drop us a line, will you?

It's been available, although hard to find, since before the holidays!

Oh, and it DOES perform well... VERY well... albeit expensive.

They DO look nice, but if the price they're selling for on eBay is accurate, they aren't THAT nice. Prices end up about $430 towards the end of the auctions.

Forget all the rest, if you want the best, this is it! I own many bluetooth headsets and I am always looking for something better. To date, this one out performs any of them.

PROBLEMS WITH THE EARSET2 AND THE CDMA PALM 700P. I bought an earset2 (left) and immediately had problems with getting a proper sync with my verizon cdma palm 700p. they connect, but very loosely, and if the phone is more than about 18 inches *(yes, inches) away from the earset, there is so much static it is unusable. Verizon replaced my 700p, no better. Have been in regular contact with the US B&O tech guys, who say they have heard of it, and had some complaints, but don't think it is all 700p units. Unfortunately, no one keeps that expensive a headset long enough for BO to figure out what is wrong. Could be a software version issue, could be a problem with something that is in the cdma version that is not in the gsm version.
Has anyone else had this problem. Need to get it resolved. They will of course take it back, but I hate the plastic ones with the flashing blue light.
