The VCAST TV launch is so close now, we can almost taste the
FLO bits streaming relentlessly down to our
U620s. Oh yes, about that U620 -- it's not out yet, but it will be soon; the service for which it's designed allegedly
hits the ground running March 1, after all, and the U620 slider from Samsung is lined up to be Verizon's one and only handset to support it at launch. Word has it the U620 has now hit Testman, a historically accurate harbinger for handsets dropping in the
very near term, so that March 1 date could very well still be a go. Pricing is set for $150 on a two-year agreement, making the barrier of entry to mobile TV nirvana fairly reasonable.

This phone will only be offered in markets that will have Mobile TV compatibility. There are currently five such markets. Sadly Charlotte is not one of them.

what happened to the vx9400? Seemed like a superior device?

The vx9400 is still coming out, but they just don't quite have it ready in time... hopefully late March/early April.

Well that is annoying, but i dont get NE2 until 4/28 (not that anyone cares). I looked on thr Testman site and didnt see it but maybe they pulled it down for now. I'm stoked about that price point, i see Verizon has tried to keep their new additions reasonably priced. It just seems that the screen is too small on the u620, 1/2 inches is a lot on this screen, plus holding it sideways seems awkward. Even though rotating the VX9400 seems weird also for phone use. I thought LG should have done a dual action, slide for phone, flip for TV, but whatever. A few more weeks i guess.
