T-Mobile launches Samsung Stripe
We sorta figured out this little mystery at CES, but T-Mobile's gone ahead and made the lowly Samsung "Stripe" (or SGH-T329, if you prefer) available now for the reasonable sum of $49.99 on contract after rebate. Your hard-heardned 50 smackers buy you a relatively stylish flip with a VGA cam, monochrome external display, and service on the 850, 1800, and 1900MHz bands -- not quite enough to satisfy our geeky obsessions, but we're sure it'll find plenty of loving homes.

It's like a Moto PEBL, but ugly. And costs more cause the PEBL is free with contract.

The PEBL is also old and by some opinon, PEBL is ugly.

Stripe, huh? Is that what you get when you feed a normal Samsung phone after midnight? Or when you get it wet? If you expose it to sunlight, does it die?

the pebl may be old, but it actually has more features than this piece of crap. (pebl is quadband and has a much higher-resolution screen.) and the pebl is made out of metal and plastic with a quality rubbery finish, unlike this samsung.

I own a Stripe and actually quite like it. I wanted a PEBL but the peeps at the T-Mo store said they were free because the spring open thing was breaking all the time and T-Mo considers the PEBL a flop. So the Stripe was the closest thing.

I love everything about the Stripe, EXCEPT the extremely poor battery life. After getting a new charger, new battery and new phone, I get 72 hours max standby time, whether the phone is used, or not. Now that T-Mobile has done everything to help, they said there is nothing more we can do and will have to live with the dismal performance.
BAD BAD BATTERY LIFE!

A week ago I've bought this phone at a T-mobile Shop, but my bluetooth still doesn't connect! It doesn't connect with my computer (my computer has a bluetooth that works perfectly!) and either to phones with (good) bluetooth...
Except this, I love this phone!
if there is someone who can help me, please comment;)

the stripe has limited connectivity, that means that you can only connect to hands free not your computer or another phone. this phone sucks, as does t-mobile. customer service is crap, and thier service always fails. 2 days ago my whole neighborhood lost service and everyones phones went loony. thats why i am switching to sprint. i called to ask about pricing and phones and they knew exactly every last detail that i wanted to know. and they have better phones.
