Nokia's E90 communicator launched!
You saw the first photos right here on Engadget. Now, Nokia brings the official specs on their S60-series E90 Communicator. Like we heard, it brings quad-band GSM, WiFi, and HSDPA radios along with a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash (and second up front for video calls). Better yet, it does indeed pack integrated GPS and Nokia Maps for all you corporate jet-setters. Expect the E90 to hit in Q2 (volume shipments in Q3) for an unsubsidized price of between "750-800" -- they don't say but we're thinking that's euros or about $1000 of the green stuff. Damn, best put this one on the corporate account where it belongs.

This device is what I've been waiting to put my money down for... unless they've elected to leave off vibrate mode again. I wouldn't give $100 for it without vibrate mode.

That screen looks like it is 16:9 widescreen. Anyone else think that? Could this be a movie phone?

The display is 800 x 352 pixels. So It is more of a 16:7.04 phone. Panavision is 16:6.81, so yes, if you can make a properly cropped version of such a movie, this may look nice on the E90. However, I think the width of the screen is mainly intended for web browsing and maybe word processing.

It's got vibrate.

It only has 2100Mhz for 3g data, so it's not going to be a hit in the US, but it should be a big hit everywhere else.

Vibrate...seriously...vibrate....thats the deal breaker?

This does look nice and the keys looks big enough for 4-finger typing (the index and middle finger of each hand). This could actually signify a whole new form factor. This could be the one for me, finally. I rely on a full size keyboard to type fast, but 4-finger typing could allow 20 words/minute. This seems SO much better than the iPhone. Hope it appears in the US soon.

The e90 has all the features I want. I can buy an unlocked version. My question is will it work on the ATT/Cingular network? Anyone know?
