Although we got a small glimpse of
Windows Mobile 6 during yesterday's
HTC Vox preview, and we've
known this thing was coming for a good while, it looks like some textual slippage has revealed that "
Crossbow" just might coincide quite nicely with Cupid's weaponry. In a long list of MSDN Events and Webcasts, it
looks looked like we'd be hearing all about WinMo 6 from none other than Jim Wilson on February 14th. Of course, the link has now been updated to hopefully cover up the leak, but thanks to Google's caching abilities and a sweet screencap, we've got the proof in front of us, friends. Unless something goes terribly awry, Microsoft will be making this OS official within a matter of weeks, and you can probably still look forward to hearing Mr. Wilson cover the system during his MSDN geekSpeak on
Valentine's Day.

If this does come out will this mean that WM5 phones can be upgraded?
I just bought the Dash and am already thinking about ditchin it on eBay then using the proceeds to pickup the SE K790a, but if it could be upgraded and some of the bugginess is worked out I may just keep it.

@ lazy american:
yes it is possible to upgrade your device however it all depends on t-mobile. if they release an update then great you have it. if not, then the only option is hoping that somebody over at xda-developers.com releases a rom update for the dash.

For Cingular users, you'd probably have to unlock your phone. And installing it will wipe it clean so be sure to backup everything first.
Will current WM5 apps work on WM6? I'd hate if my paid-for apps didn't work on it.
