So... if my smartphone (T-Mobile Dash) currently uses a 2 gig micro sd card, with the new 4 gig one work in it as well? I don't recall the 2 gig one being called a 'sdSH' card

For all the questions "will this work in X?" the answer is no.
micro-SDHC requires updated hardware, it is not backwards compatible.
I don't believe any phone released at present supports micro-SDHC - in addition since phones generally have a 2 year development cycle, you'll probably have to wait 6+ months for a phone that does.

For MP3s, 640 x 480 Video Recordings and 5 megapixel Camera pics.....those files are not small you know.....4GB is the Perfect size
