
Okay, so it didn't quite make yesterday's version of
FCC Fridays, but Nokia's business-friendly
E65 has just made the rounds through the FCC, which means the final frontier for this E-series slider is closer than ever before. While we're still not sure if (or who) here in the States would be willing to pick this one up, especially considering the
lack of a North American 3G band, we're not giving up on faith just yet. Nevertheless, it seems this corporate gem just might hit streets a bit sooner than anticipated, so make sure you've got your microSD card and about €340 ($440) of liquidated assets ready to go at a moment's notice.

I don't understand what is required for a phone to have North American 3G band. I was under the impression that at least some of the 2100Mhz band was available for UMTS. Do no carriers operate in this band?

I think that T-Mobile's 3G will be on 2100 MHz, but it hasn't rolled out yet. So you can have Fave 5! Whoopee!
