Samsung i760 hands-on
Samsung didn't seem too happy to do it, but we snagged our little selves a hands-on with ther forthcoming i760 this evening. The horizontal QWERTY slider feels pretty solid in the hands, and like HTC's new Libra, it's also got a numeric keypad on the face for ease of dialing. They wouldn't say who was going to carry it (like we didn't already know) or much else about the device, but that's why you read Engadget. Check out the gallery for some more shots of the unbranded unit.

So, when does this hit the stores. And more importantly, since it's CDMA, when does it hit Sprint?

Looks completely different than the Samsung SGH-i760.

This is a device that I would need to get in my hand before I give it a thumb up. At first glance of the Samsung i760 I don’t see an ok button or a start button on the front of the device, although I did see three buttons on the side of the device, I don’t feel they are position well if an ok and start button reside there.
But I look at things a little different, why did Samsung design this device this way with the directional pad to the left corner. May be they felt it provided better ergonomics or they was just trying to be different to see the way consumers took it. Look at the send and end key they could easily put those buttons above the number keys like most smart phones today.
What do you think?
Thanks Engadget could I get some more details

I like this phone. If the slide is very tight with a nice mechanical click then this phone may make my short list of 8525 replacements.

Thanks for killing my interest in this device. Horizontal slider scratches it off the list form me.

I like this device. If it comes to Sprint then I'll probably get it. It just depends if the 6800 is smaller then the 6700. If anyone has any info on if and when this phone is comming out for Sprint then just let me know...
