Treo 750 demo units in Cingular stores?
Looks like Palm's Windows Mobile powered Treo 750 might indeed hit this month like we heard. The Boy Genius snap above is of a reported demo unit said to be hitting "various Cingular stores" across The Nation over the weekend. Who knows, with the rumor-mill in a frenzy about a possible launch as early as today, things sure look promising for a stub-free, HSDPA holiday after all. Another shot 'round back after the break.

Sweet!

What are the odds that they will make a camera-free version of this phone? That would be a big plus for those of us who can't take camera phones into work.

We had this unit at my store. It feels rubberized on the back.Still no live unit though.

Will this Treo 750 have a 3G Radio ??

Another reason to hate T-Mobile right now...*waits patiently till contract runs out in 2008*

Well, this story is a week late -good job Engadget. Dummy units have been hitting Cingular stores for the past week and it's been discussed at various forums over and over within that time.
I was hoping your first scoop on the 750 would be something worthy of the Engadget status and not a reprint of old news. Bummer.

Lay off CAMP. What did YOU accomplish today?....not counting "complaining".

I am just happy a demo is in the store and that it's coming soon. I almost broke down and got the blackjack or 8525 last week. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will still have the treaded SMS like my Treo 650.

Yeah, we've got it in my store, too. But we should clarify something. Just because we get a demo, doesn't mean the phone is launching immediately. That's usually the case, but sometimes (like with the RAZR V3i), the phone won't launch for several months.

Anyone know if a PalmOS version is coming? Seems like they've been trying to force me off of treo.
Andrew @ Dec 22nd 2006 8:31PM
What do u mean a PalmOS version? The Palm 680?

I was just in a Cingular Corporate store in the DC area on December 26th. He said the Treo 750 was to launch on January 9th on their website, and then follow in the stores. Has anyone heard the same?
