Sony Ericsson Z310 does low end with style
Ever since the MOTOFONE, our standards have gone up just a little bit for what we'd consider... shall we say, a minimum level of fashion sense we expect entry-level handsets to possess. Sony Ericsson's latest, the Z310, does its best to fill those shoes, sporting a trick polished, translucent exterior (in your choice of orange or pink) that cleverly lets a 96 x 64 monochrome external display peek out from underneath. The front also comes equipped with four icons, a la Motorola's W220, that indicate the kinds of things your average cellphone owner cares about -- charge status, voicemail, and the like. Other notable features include Bluetooth, support for Sony Ericsson's PlayNow service, MP3 ringtones, EDGE data, VGA cam, and a 160 x 128 internal display. Sadly, the initial version lacks that GSM 850 us yanks love so much, but areas of the world more friendly to 900 / 1800 / 1900 handsets can look for the Z310 starting in the first quarter of next year.

I am always amused when people refer to SE phones as "beautiful" and then criticize SE's fellow countryman Sanyo for their "ugly" phones. THEY LOOK ALMOST IDENTICAL. In fact, for the most part I prefer Sanyo's designs.
This phone = butt ugly.

It is a nice phone but not worth it to me. :S The Sony Ericsson Z610 is so much hotter than this thing. Yes, "thing."
