Sure,
tethering 8700s to Macs is a neat trick -- but how about cutting the cable entirely? "Pulse" by Brain Murmurs aims to do exactly that, trading that pesky USB cable for the more convenient Bluetooth connection (and yeah, it's Mac compatible, to boot).
Pearl users might have no concept of what we're talking about (on account of RIM's latest goodness coming with DUN in the box) but Pulse should be big news for
7130,
7290, and
8700 owners looking for a moderately less conspicuous way to pipe hot data from their phones into their PCs. Be sure to give us the down-low in comments if you get the chance to give this a whirl, eh?

here is a question. I cannot get the Pulse Modem Script to appear in the drop down menu under the bluetooth setup for the blackberry. it just says "Apple Internal 56K Modem v.90) and I dont know how to change it. The PDF set up guide on the website says that right there is should say "pulsemodemscript.txt" - HELP!

#1: The listings in that dropdown are actually files in the folder /Library/Modem Scripts - open that path in Finder and see if the file exists there, and is readable by anyone other than the owner.

I'm using now and it works great. Just open the file (apple i) and then take off the .txt part , and it will run fine. I'ts running as a text file now and now a script file
