Nokia site shows Q2 '07 release for N95
The good news? Nokia's N95 product page on the official Nseries site is pretty thorough -- enough to give the Symbian lovers among us some in-depth reading material to hold us over for a bit. The bad news? Their device comparison chart now shows a second-quarter '07 release for the superphone, one quarter later than we were expecting. Of course, in this day and age, delays of this nature should never surprise us; if anything, we'd be surprised if a phone of this complexity were to actually arrive on time. But needless to say, the official N95 material on the site is most definitely not enough to bide our time for another four to seven months.[Thanks, festriaqua]

This isn't so bad because it now it says it has "WCDMA HSDPA 850/1900/2100 MHz" which would mean it'll work on Cingular's 3G network (if I'm reading it correctly). This WAS the only thing on the spec sheet that was lacking on the phone. Word.

Yeah...and the N75 is expected...last month. I hate that.

Glad I didn't get the N80 yet. I can wait until Q2 for this bad boy.

I mentioned this in an earlier posting about the N95, but the Device comparison and the actual device page show different specs. Click on the N95 and check out the radio frequencies. The radio in the comp chart is much more US friendly then the N95 website one. Maybe Q2 07 is for the US launch and the Euro zone will still be Q1. That, and I used one at an electronics show in Dubai and the Nokia rep told me its available Feb.

the UK O2 site has listed the N95 being available to its customers in march
SV @ Dec 5th 2006 5:46AM
that page is BS. when the help did nokia update that page?
it says, "Coming Soon" for the N93, " Expected availability Q1 2007" for the N73.
The fact is that N95 will be out before March, '07

And the N95's product page says Q1 - http://www.nokia.com/nseries/index.html?lang=en&country=R1#product,n95
My money says Q1 for Europe/RoW and Q2 for the US, after all it's gonna take Cingular some time to take all the goodness out...

This is the N.A. release schedule.
When Nokia announced the N95 EuroWCDMA version, they said that the N.A. version would be coming along in Q2.
In Canada, the price of data access is so high that I'd rather import the Euro version and stick with WiFi anyway.
The cell phone is just a backup in the N95.... now where is that S60 Skype?
Jim Hughes @ Dec 5th 2006 9:49AM
That's a US page, the N73 and N93 aren't "coming soon" in Europe, they've been in the shops and pockets for months.
