As we anxiously await the release of Windows new
Vista OS, we are learning more and more about the integration of Windows Mobile devices into Microsoft's new baby. ActiveSync has been been pushed aside for what Microsoft is calling Windows Mobile Device Center (or WMDC for short) which on paper, is looking to be easier for the end user and IT departments to install and maintain. WMDC is a built in function of Vista so it will not require additional software needing to be installed and will receive automatic updates when a Windows Update occurs. Now if we can only get our hands on the newest
Crossbow OS for our phone, that would make us happy.

This is the worst version of Activesync yet. It keeps you totally blind to what is going on.
It performs the first sync before you have the opportunity to tell it what to sync. Then it drops connection (like all prior versions) and ends up duplicating your documents. You cannot select a reasonable amount of data to sync. Microsoft decided you only need to sync 1 month or All of your e-mail. Too bad if you want to keep one year out of the five years in your mail file.
Microsoft should start using professionals to test its software instead of expecting betas to be bait for the masses who have no clue how to test it for free.
This is just another example of how Microsoft is removing features from its software and calling it an upgrade.

I don't know how Microsoft issue such software that always have problem connection and error without technical support rather than connect/Disconnect and enable /disable advanced feature.
I'm still not connected in windows vista after 100 of trying solve the problem.
