But it's a case of good hardware paired with weak OS. Bluetooth only supports handsfree (no file transfer), can't use MP3 on external MicroSD as ringtone, internet connection is via CDMA only (no GPRS), No MMS support, no Email support whatsoever, no JAVA support (maybe BREW, via its Qualcomm CDMA chip?), file viewer does not recognize MP3 nor MIDI (but MP3 plays on the built in player)... List goes on. The OS definitely feels half baked. My only hope now is either a 3rd party hack or an update (so far no news on either...) If anyone knows the OS this thing is running it'll be helpful

w579 user

Comments on Samsung SCH-W579: dual mode with a touchscreen

Nice looking phone, interesting in seeing it open.

Rick Lyon

Comments on Samsung SCH-W579: dual mode with a touchscreen

Is this the i770?

LG

Comments on Samsung SCH-W579: dual mode with a touchscreen

how to send the picture (MMS) use samsung SCH W579, the manual book is pour information

jack
