Cingular branded BlackBerry Pearl pictures leaked

As our hopes and dreams steadily get deflated as days pass without the release of Cingular's own BlackBerry Pearl variant, Roc A Fella stops by with a slightly better than previously seen shot of the Pearl -- with Cingy's updated color scheme and branding. In our opinion, the new color is a welcomed change and it breaks up the bland keypad by removing the black coloring on the bottom half of the numeric keys, and lightening up the color of the brushed metal on the side of the phone. Now the only questions remain, when will Cingular stop playing with our emotions and release it? Oh, and did they change those horrible keys?

I personally like the coloring of the Tmobile version better...maybe i'm in the minority, but i prefer the black bottom to the gray

I guess it really depends on how long the T-Mobile exclusive is, if there is one at all. I love the Pearl I have on T-Mobile.

It looks from the pictures it has the old Blackberry OS, not the new. And T-mobile DOESNT have a exclusive on the device. They just released it first, because you know Cingular and their testing.

I played w/ the T-Mobile version for about 30 seconds while trying to convince my wife to give up the v600 she's been carrying around for who knows how long.

Maybe you get used to that squishy, rubbery keyboard, but for me is was unusable. E70-2 all the way.

Yo Jay84Virgo - it does have a camera, it does have a convenience key, and it also has Push to Talk which Tmobile will never have. The OS is the same as Tmobile's, just a different color. Cingular's is Cool Blue instead of Tmobile's Puke Green.

Ugghh...Mr "San Man?" I was referring to the lower convienence key on the "right" side like the T-Mobile's version of the Pearl which is typically used for the "camera" feature, which in this model clearly doesn't exist. The operating system is NOT the same. And...are you color blind? There isn't any evidence of even the slightest green tint on T-Mobile's Pearl. Not to rain on your parade but since Cingular's upcoming 8800 "Indigo" doesn't get a camera, its only feasible to believe that Cingular's Pearl doesn't get one as well.

yes, t-mobile DEFINITELY has the pearl exclusively until december, so don't expect a cingular pearl anytime before a couple weeks before xmas.

also, t-mo does have the push-to-talk as well.

the rubbery keyboard depends on whether it was manufactured in canada or mexico.

i've definitely never seen any puke-green os.

with all the swapping of OS's for different carriers, i don't think it'll matter which carrier has which theme/os/software features, etc.

I agree, the keys on the Pearl DON'T SUCK. I have used many of the world's most expensive & so-called BEST PDA's & smartphones & I think this key issue is just that with the Pearl a NON-ISSUE. it's just like many people saying the Pearl's trackball doesn't give you feedback, yet I & many others I'm sure have NO problem utilizing the trackball & FYI it CAN BE ADJUSTED so try it & see what happens. I have owned 4 different Treos, 3 different blackberries, & countless Pocket PC's. The Pearl wins handsdown because it just DOES what it is SUPPOSED TO DO, no bloated OS, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I will be glad when it comes to cingular cause then all my cingular overdosed friends can finally stop asking can they use MY PEARL to send a text message or check a web page etc. TOO FUNNY.
