Real pics emerge of the VX8500's spectrum

Ever wonder what a metallic, phlegm-green LG Chocolate might look like? Well, wonder no longer. We've managed to score press photos for Verizon's VX8500 in all three of its new colors, and although it's difficult to argue the hotness of the white and red varieties, the green just is not doing anything for us. Ah, well; vive la variété, eh? Look for the new shades to drop any day now.

sorry folks, that ain't phlegm green, that's split-pea-soup-baby-vomit green. oddly enough, that's a popular house paint color in florida, so now your phone and house can match. what's next, a matching car and watch? oh, waitaminute...

The Chocolate is a great phone. Voice quality and reception just as good as any other phone on the Verizon Network, plus a neat innovative design and pretty good mp3 functionality. I've had mine for almost 2 months and I love it. That white is pretty nice but I wish they made a blue instead of green.

Why is everyone here bagging on Verizon. I guess when your the best people talk. And as for no sim card. You stay in the U.S.A.. Why do I need a sim card. I guess so someone can still my phone unlock it and sell it on ebay. We do not need sim cards here because we have no roaming.

Your an idiot, GSM is newer technology, you can use GSM phones in europe, you just have to buy a prepaid sim card and pop it in, not with CDMA the only place you can use a CDMA phone outside of the US is Korea. ALso, with GSM you can buy unlocked unbranded phones on the internet, so you don't have to wait years for an upgrade to a new phone. This has nothing to do with GSM or CDMA but, who would want a phone from Version,Version has the worse user interface by far.....yuck

Before you bash version (I hope you mean verizon), learn what you are talking about first. Number one - it works in plenty more countries than Korea. Look at this page for example (http://mobileoptions.vzw.com/international/roaming/rates/Mexico.html)

Number 2, the user interface is simple enough for everyone to understand and there is no need to learn a totally different menu when you are purchasing a new phone. I wouldn't even doubt the fact that you never played with a verizon phone in your life.

Number 3, GSM is terrible in the USA. If you are in the USA over 50% of your time, then why the hell would you choose a global phone. The features are terrible about it. The greatest thing any gsm provider came up with is t-mobile's new wireless network talking. They understand GSM sucks everywhere, so why not let you talk for free on the wireless networks. I bet cingular will be getting this one next, this way people might actually be able to use thier rollover minutes because they will have service.

Guess I'm the only one who actually likes the green color huh? It would look much better without the glaring red lights, but what'cha gonna do? I'd like to see a blue one, or a brighter red, like the color of the lights, instead of the dark maroon/blood red color.

As an FYI, GSM is older than CDMA, not newer. Although I'm unsure of what technology Version (??) uses.

i love the green too, though green used to be my favortie colour. but the deal is with me did they fix the flaws from the first model. i'm pretty sure they did but what else was added other then the speakerphone? plus my phone has almost split into two. anyway to get that fixed other then using the insurance i bought for the damned thing?... yet though i love the phone.

ALL I want to know is when is the PINK chocolate coming out that I keep seeing all over the internet. I'm going to get tje phone today, but I just want to know when the other is coming out so I can get it!!!! If some one knows, PLEASE let me know :)
