The Boy Genius Report: A bit of Cingular Q4 product info

Well would you look at that, a Cingular display already up in stores showing three "increased productivity" devices. One comes from the BlackBerry 8700c, one happens to be the Cingular 3125 Smartphone, and the last, but certainly not least, is the Palm Treo 680. We also found out from our man with the plan that Cingular's BlackBerry Pearl will launch before Christmas, with very minor cosmetic differences (e.g. keypad color, and so on). It will still have a camera despite some rumors around the net, and will have a nice friend to play with -- the Motorola KRZR. More info to come.
Update: We also just got word of a new ruggedized Motorola phone also due soon; just don't get your hopes up that it's some military-grade Q or anything, you should know by now what most ruggedized gear is like.

I have to agree with M, I really anticipating more info on the Samsung i-607. That seems like the phone to get. I wonder if Cingular is going to hold out on that phone until the holidays.

The Samsung i-607 or what Cingular is refering to as the Blackjack should be available the first or second week of November as far as my sources.

I was told the same info on the i607, that it would be out in November after the Treo 680 and 750 release.

the "ruggedized" motorola is just a moto v365 which is only semi-rugged PTT phone with vga cam. All in all it's just a moto clam reminiscent of the v400(551, 557) with a heftier keypad. Seen it in action and it's nothing spectacular. More so since Cingular's PTT is not taking off like they hoped it would.

I personally am trying to hold off till the Treo 750, but we've seen nothing. It would be a HUGE hit for cingular , especially before Christmas and with even Boy Genius saying it was the 1st large step for the Treo in a while, If I hear nothing the i607,Blackberry 8800(GPS now too) or just he Cingular 3535 will be fine

BTW , not to mention, where is the wonderful SGH-i760, The thing has 510MHz, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and and front facing 2.0mp camera

I tell ya, I'd better see a Q or an Apple iPhone on Cingular's list for next year...I LOVE the Q, but I'm stuck in a couple of 2-year contracts with Cingular. My personal phone's contract expired, and I'm in the market. GIVE ME A Q, Cingular!

toddk, if you're lusting over the Q and stuck w/cingular for 2 years why not get a Nokia E62? it does so much more than the moto, plus it's not running windows mobile.

What the heck do you want a Q for? For the life of me I can not understand what the deal about it is. OMG is is a stinking Motorola which means it will only work for five months. There are at least 5 devices already on cingular's list that can run circles around the stupid Q.
