Latte Communications intros Latte Slim 11b
Little-known Latte Communications is aiming big with its latest handset offering, taking on Motorola's SLVR L7 with its flatteringly similar Latte Slim 11b phone. Available in your choice of 850 / 1800 / 1900 or 900 / 1800 / 1900Mhz tri-band variations, this one actually bests the L7 with a 1.3 megapixel camera (as opposed to VGA on the Moto) along with 1.9-inch display, 64MB of embedded NAND memory, and the usual line-up of built-in games, software, and MP3 player capabilities. At 4.2 x 1.7 x 0.44 inches, it's also slightly smaller than its more well-known competitor, though we'll leave it to you to judge whether it lives up to Latte's claims of being more stylish than the L7. If you think so, you can snag one now for $250.[Via Mobile Tech Review]

Don't see mention of a memory card. Not much of a SLVR L7 competitor without it.

I agree. And how come it has the same style with the L7...by that alone, no originality. Where can we find reviews from this phone or its brand?

i got it from one of dealers in san jose, it does a lot of thing. also i put a 1 gb tansflash memory card, it really works well!.
lcd display is super quality.
You guys should try it too...
it is much better than moto L7, if you get with contract from t-mobile or cingular it's under $100.

This is by far the best phone i have ever gotten.
I was a little leary about buying something that was new and unreviewed, but the phone rocks.
Got it for 130 from latte phones on ebay and it does everything. Mp3's MP4's 1.3 megapixel camera with digital zoom and contrast adjustments, even BMI tacker etc. it isnt a lot bigger than an ipod nano ( i use one of the ipod sock cases to carry mine in and it fits great) the speaker is very clear and loud when you want it. Also included a USB cord so adding mp3's and taking movies and pictures off of the camera is easy.
Only complaint is that the reception is definately not as good as my old phone, i have service in most of the same places ,but where i had 1 bar before with my nokia 6103 i dont have any now.
I am sure this is related to the internal ant.
Awesome phone for the money.

How about reception? Where do you live? I just bought mine from ebay, I am eager to receive it, but now I am a little preoccupied such thing like buying without review is like you said, leary, I'll say risky.

how to transfer music onto the latte?
plug in the usb cord (to the usb port) it will show up on your phone giving u 2 options
1.mass storage
2.com port
select mass storage and wait a few minutes for it to autorun(that is pop up and ask u what to do). if autorun doesn't happen go to my computer and select the latte drive or whateva it's called. then drop in mp3 files either by copying and pasting or drag n drop. hope this helps

I have a Latte phone and my only problem is sending text message. Any idea how to set it up. I followed every step from the book and still doesn't work.
