Just so you guys know, the Dash is now on T-Mobile's website at: http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Detail.aspx?device=f164419f-eee9-4cf6-a1bd-070dbe4b5023
The release date is NOT October 16th, as you previously reported. It's October 25th. Which basically has me screwed.
T-Will @ Oct 11th 2006 4:00PM
I don't see why this would be, but maybe the 25th refers to the date it's available on the web site? The rep I talked to in the t-mo store on Monday said it'd be available the 16th.
Staulkor @ Oct 11th 2006 6:21PM
I called up a few local T-Mobile stores in my area, some said they dont know, but the rest said Monday, the 16th.

this is all well and fine, but will this thing work with Skype?
RyanTV @ Oct 11th 2006 11:38PM
T-Mobile... why T-Mobile. I honestly don't know one person that actually uses T-Mobile.
Can't wait till you can find these unlocked.

Anybody know when the HTC S620 (or P3300) are due out?
CallDon @ Oct 12th 2006 10:47PM
What about music? Will it play AAC+ files? I know Windows Media Player does not play AAC+ without a plug-in. But can you add the plug-in to the Media Player in this?

It got pushed back due to an error on the box stating it had a 1.3MP camera with flash- It has no flash, so we had to send em back!
Nik Recob @ Oct 18th 2006 12:54PM
This is great but will the Dash work with Skype?

My sister pooped in her pants again.....

For an average user like me who uses the phone a lot, text messages and likes to email (but has never used a smartphone)what would be a better choice - the new DASH OR THE PEARL?? Is the DASH that much better? (besides just the full keyboard??)

Does anybody know. Will the phone run web pages with:
javascript
java (like web-based chat rooms)
flash (i.e games like www.tankmania.com)?
Also curious about that proprietary audio port that appears to be the same place you charge. Say you want to play mp3s while charging.. how do you do this?
Gotta say the phone looks really promising. I currently am under contract with a blackberry 8700g r t-mobile. I'm very happy with the blackberry.. but the idea of having a voice recorder, pic/video camera and mp3 player would really step up features.
Regarding the camera, some cameras have a setting that where details are good enough to allow you to readtext and handwritting off a sheet of paper or whiteboard
Thanks.
