In case you hadn't heard, Motorola is in the process of releasing its RAZR successor, the
K1 and K1m, across the globe. Actually, we probably shouldn't have told you that, because we think T-Mobile wants you to get excited about their RAZR V3t -- a phone that seems to be nothing more than an old-skool
V3i with some T-Mobile customization. If it launches at a low enough price point, we'll forgive 'em -- let's just make sure that K1 comes along for the ride too, mkay, guys? Look for the V3t to grace stores in October.

I wonder if this revision has EDGE. If it does they will have a one up on Cingular till the K1 drops.
Voltron80 @ Sep 29th 2006 2:41PM
I wonder if that has something to do with some kind of cingular exclusive for the V3i?
Good new though.
Motofiend3030 @ Sep 29th 2006 2:57PM
why so pessimistic? If you're casting stones at T Mobile you should be casting them at Cingular for releasing it recently too.

Thats not a 't' its a linker like an asterik, you go to the bottom and read the footnotes.
Voltron80 @ Sep 29th 2006 4:34PM
You might be right, though it also might be a T as in Tmobile edition.
David F @ Sep 29th 2006 4:34PM
Then why is the "t" in "Motorola" the same as the "t" in "v3t," buster? Also, I've never seen a linker that big compared to the actual text.
It has all the features of the V3i, at any rate, including the updated keypad (if my squinting eyes don't deceive me).

Its a V3i with a black spun metal finish. Edge support has not been posted yet on the specs sheet. It'll be launching along with basic V3 special editions. And the name is V3t. Thats not a cross

Well that good news because I just returned a defective light blue V3 Razr and am in the market for a phone again. I will stop and see what T-Mobile has to say about this. If I remember correctly, they say they are the last to know the employees that work in the kiosk.
I love the to have the black color version because the only ones I see are the gunmetal grey ones and to me look ugly.
I will let everyone know!

I bought one about a week ago, it's a V3t and I upgraded from a Samsung x495. So far, I really like this phone as it has been kicking my Samsung's butt in call quality and of course features. A few of the notable features.
* Comes with a 128mb microSD card
* Voice recognition (Also works with H3 Bluetooth headset)
* Yes, it has EDGE. I tethered to my laptop via Bluetooth and surfed the web.
* Excellent call quality and reception
V3t Owner A Little Disappointed @ Nov 30th 2006 10:45AM
I just bought the v3t last night and have some disappointing findings. Let me first say the phone isn't all bad, but I do have some gripes with it: First, the date does not display on the main screen, Waht!??? Second, there is no symbol letting you know that the alarm is set,What!??? Third, there are no usable wallpapers that come with the phone. Not really important but though I'd share. I think the top two are critical and come with every phone... right?
For a phone that lists at $300 if bought outright. How about adding a couple of visual extras that make perfect sense and would make everyone's life a litle easier.
My 2 cents

so I just got a V3t a week ago...dont' plan to play with it much as it is just a phone to me...but one question concerning th ebattery life:
had it fully charged, unplugged it at about 3 am, used it as alarm...during the day, I made couple calls, for less than 10 minutes....less than 12 hours later, the battery indicator is already showing 1/3 of the battery life gone. Is that normal? or is there something funky with the phone or the way I use my phone?
also, do you charge it every night or do you wait till the battery is gone before the next charge?
Thanks
