I hope the interface has been improved from the typically terrible Verizon UI bullcrap we always have to deal with, in addition to Verizon letting your internal wallpaper show on your external screen instead of the Verizon logo. Regardless, I get to upgrade on October 22 and this is the phone I'll definitely be getting, the rest of my family will just have to settle for free Samsung SCH-A870's!

It has everything but no speakerphone capabilities!! That sucks! Now gotta wait for the 8600 & the 9900 to come out. Dam Verizon Wireless, you guys are sloooooooooowwwwwww in coming out with cellphones!

Just ordered one myself, have been waiting for this phone for a while. New every 2 ftw. And I don't care about speakerphone, my current phone doesn't have it, and I can never think of a time I would actually need it over a headset.

It looks like Verizon didn't castrate the bluetooth as much as usual.
"*The KRZR K1m supports the following Bluetooth Profiles: Headset, Hands-free, Serial Port and Dial Up Networking, Object Push for vcard and image transfer only. It does not support all Bluetooth object transfer (OBEX) profiles."

#2. The KRZR lets you set different pictures for front screen and main screen wallpaper. Its a nice little feature.

Bluetooth FTP is on for K1m as well as OPP. FTP seems to be certain files only though...no ringers.

it's out for alltel right now - well, presale on their website. i know verizon is selling it online only right now, but for alltel it'll be out on october 5th (same day as verizon in store).

Unless you want to use your phone as an mp3 player what is the point of this and the V3i?
No improved UI, no business apps, no real point other than to have the newest phone on the block which is pointless...
Aside from the Q, Moto phones suck.

#12, because it allows me to make calls, receive calls, and is small enough to fit in the pocket of my jeans without looking like huge bulging square on my thigh.
I don't want/need business apps on my cell phone. I really couldn't care less about an improved UI. You have to realize that the majority of people don't care about any of that stuff - they get a new phone every other year and just want something fun and cool. This is the funnest, coolest thing out right now. (And even with the music capabilities, I won't use it for that.)
Everybody always talks about wanting to combine all of their devices into one, but if you're gonna do that, you're gonna sacrifice a lot. I'm much more happy keeping my 20 gig mp3 player, and my PDA, and my cell all separate without sacrificing any capabilities...and I don't need them all with me at all times, and they're all so small these days, it's not really a hassle when I do have them all with me anyway.

The Krzr DOES HAVE speakerphone. It isn't on the keyboard - it is the lowest button on the left side. Works great too.
