This seems like a very smart move for T-mobile. Here in California, T-Mobile's coverage is good, but no where near Verizon. Because of where I live, I have a choice of Verizon, or nothing, so the ability to use wi-fi at home is perfect. I know that I am not the only one in this predicament, so I with T-Mo the best.
