Phone-oriented
flagship retail locations seem to be all the rage these days, but who would've thought MVNOs would be getting into the action? MySpace-friendly Helio looks to gain some additional visibility when it opens its first of five dedicated stores in Santa Monica this October. If the renderings hold true, we have to admit the place looks pretty nifty -- just add some hot new devices to match the decor and Helio may have a winner on their hands. Additional facilities will be opening in New York, Denver, San Diego, and Palo Alto through late '06 and early '07. Any love for the midwest, guys?

Yeah well maybe I can buy one of those kickflips now since this is a good sign they're not goin chapter 11 on us but why open a retail shop if you only have 2 phones and give or take a couple hundred customers????

Being contract free will not save them. Nice phones but extremely over priced. Give me one of those phones for a $100 and I would sign up for atleast 3 months, but I really don't want or plan on using the myspace function expect for music of course.

My wife and I both have Kickflips, and they are well worth the $200. I am very impressed with every feature this phone offers.

I think we're three months late with the Helio deathwatch.

I can't wait for new phones!!! I am super excited. I have a hero now ( the blackone) and it kicks a**. I work in an FYE store and we sell them. I bought a t- flash card i have a bunch of vids/songs. I wasn't so sure at first but now that my friends are starting to get them its even cooler. I have seen them for like 100 bucks in some stores
