MySpace members entitled to contract-free Helio

You have to give these guys a lot of credit for trying some unusual angles in an effort to gain footing. Appealing directly to its MySpace demographic, Helio is now offering to waive the nearly universal concept of a 2-year contract for new subscribers. Not bad; to MySpace members that take their social networking seriously, Helio probably seemed like a pretty hot concept already, and we can guess that this should be enough to push over a handful of those folks sitting on the fence.

I just got off the phone with helio and they said thats nt true about the contract free helio

me too..i just called Helio and they couldn't do anything about my 2 year contract! uggh! I want to get another phone. I mean I LOVE everything that the Ocean does, but I jsut want something new now. Does anyone want a one year plan for Helio? I have two lines you can take over.

y'know, i might just sign up to myspace to get at one of helio's phones; sure they're geared for myspace crackheads, but that hero kicks a**. any word on tweaking it to get it on verizon?

YES! You CAN call up Helio, simply say you know about the myspace deal, say you are a myspace member and they will take you OFF the contract! I just did it, no early termination fee for me! :D

Verizon sucks phat ones.....all the dropped calls and stupid devices.....sheesh! They are playin ketchup in a Helio world...the Chocolate is a prime example of biting gone wrong. Buy a Helio, tell a friend, get a free months worth of talking and there ya have it.

Actually Helio is on Sprint's new SprintSpeed PowerVision network, aka EV-DO RevA. NOT Verizon, and Ampd doesnt exist anymore so Verizon doesnt have competition
