Deets, pics emerge on Sanyo MM-8400 for Sprint
Sprint tends to roll fairly deep with the Sanyo clamshells, so it comes as no surprise that they're adding another midrange unit to their stable in the SCP-8400. The handset -- which could be called a spiritual successor to the Power Vision-christening MM-9000 -- looks to sport a slightly cleaner design, but the biggest news here for Sanyo fans could be the inclusion of Bluetooth. No word on availability, but with units floating around in retailers' hands, it can't be much longer now.

nope, the sanyo katana was the first sanyo with bluetooth

problem is, sprint usually disables everything useful about bluetooth in their handsets....

hmm. since people are so happy with sanyos, would this just be another form of logical progression for sprint? after all, sanyo is the only thing saving sprint right now, and this is nothing unexpected. it is a nice phone, nonetheless, and if it's half as good as the last sanyo sprint release (the katana), then it should be a good buy.

Rickster I thnk you have Sprint confused with Verizon who disables every aspect of Bluetooth.

I purchased the 8400 4 days ago and have spent 4 days on the phone with SPRINT discussing the proublem with sending video to any AOL users.
I discovered (without SPRINT assistance)that you cannot send video to any AOL users directly from this model.
But if you send the video to SPRINT PIC MAIL then go to their site you can send upto 5 videos at a time to any AOL account without any proublems.
I found out that it has to do with the e-mail address that the phone uses.
When sending from SPRINT pic mail site the e-mail is sent as ------@PM.SPRINT.COM.
When sending from phone it uses the phone#.
Other than this 1 proublem it is an AWESOME device
