Excalibur blurry camphoned

Oh come on, shots like these wouldn't be fun if they weren't blurry. The chap who sent this one in, Indianboy, mentioned that WiFi was definitely a go on the Excalibur, as well as the Q-rivaling jog strip thing, and a resolution greater -- yes, greater -- than QVGA. Why you'd really need greater than QVGA resolution on a Smartphone is beyond us, but who are we to argue with HTC?

P.S. -Yes, that's a T-Mobile theme, hint, hint.

Any word on UMTS/HSPDA for this unit. I do not see a front side camera. Although if this is coming out on T-mobile it probably does not have UMTS since T-mobile does not have any UMTS available as of yet.
This would be the perfect device with Quadband GSM, EDGE, UMTS/HSPDA, WiFi, QWERTY Keyboard, Jog dial, Slim/pocketable form factor.

If these are true, I am kind of disappointed that they chose the TI OMAP 195 Mhz compared to the Motorola Q that has Xscale 312 mhz, and Samsung i320 with >400 mhz Intel processor.

Why greater than QVGA? Bragging rights and the competition, of course. Outside of the USA, the Excalibur's competitors have:

QVGA (320x240): Most HTC machines, Nokia N73, SE K800/790
352 x 416: Nokia E70, Nokia N80
VGA: Sharp 904SH

Sure these are some giant phones, but they're probably all smaller (thicker, yes) than the Excalibur. Sure, it makes things a little squinty at times but most of the phones seem to be alright. Engadget readers are gadget freaks, no? A little more resolution never hurts?

You need a high resolution screen to view web pages. My Nokia 7710 has a 640 by 320 touch screen and I would never want to go back to anything less than that. The 320 by 208 touch screen on my Sony Ericsson P800 simply was not wide enough to fit most modern page layouts.

Looks really nice, but how about the usability of such a small qwerty-keyboard? And hopefully, HTC will include UMTS - in Germany, we have a UMTS-flatrate for 25 EUR ;-)

The buttons (I recieved this link through C|Net, who has a high res picture) look surprisingly tactile! Bring on the soft rubber buttons!
