Easily unlock most Nokia cellphones

For Nokia users it doesn't get much easier than this: just hit the site below, plug in your phone's vital deets and you'll be handed a code that'll let you take your phone to places it's never been before -- another carrier, that is. Unlocking methods for both DCT4 and DCT3 phones are provided, just don't be surprised if your latest and greatest handset proves a bit harder to unlock. mmm-hmm. i've used nokiafree to unlock five nokia phones (all for my friends; i'd never own a nokia that you get through cingular). it's great software, and is very accurate in its coding. i'd recommend it to anyone for unlock a nokia (or the other phones it supports).

BB5 phones cannot be unlocked by this means (only one person can unlock it at the moment), so owners of the Nokia 3250 6125 6131 6270 6280 6630 6680 6681 6682 7370 E50 E60 E61 E62 E70 N71 N72 N73 N80 N90 N91 N92 N93 6126 6136 6233 6234 5500 N91 can't unlock them by the website.

Yeah, unlocking is good. Flashing the firmware with one of the numerous boxes is even better. But the Engadget folks shouldn't trick their readers. There is no easy solution for unlocking of the new series of Nokia handsets. The phones built on Nokia's BB5 platform (including the 6630, 6680, N-series, E-series) have virtually defied unlocking for the last two years, and will probably never be unlockable via an online algorithm.

9. You can still use it on Cingular after unlocking it - any SIM includes the one it came with.
I unlock all my carrier-purchased phones as a matter of course, and yet I've never left my country or used the other GSM provider in my area.

I just had my Nokia unlocked at this site within one minute. I was amazed by this and even donated to them for the speedy response. I did see some that may have waited maybe 10 minutes but most all unlock codes were given within 5 minutes or less. Here is the link

I have a nokia n75 and am having trouble unlocking it (but if you want to do it the right way of unlocking your phone, call at&t and tell them you are going overseas and want it unlocked. They have to unlock it for you by law. Only small print on that is you have to have owned the phone for at least 90 days before they can unlock it). Also, go to piratebay.org and type in "unlock all nokia n-phone", you should see a list with nokia softwares. Pick the one that is exactly spelled out as what you typed in the search bar. Havent tried it out yet, just dld it and will try tomorrow. Hopefully that works, otherwise Im prob just going to wait the 90 days for at&t to unlock it for me.
