m300 "Mobile Watch" to finally deliver on watch phone promise?
In the "we'll believe it when it starts shipping" department, we present to you the m300 GSM watch phone by SMS Technology of Australia, a company that appears to be better known for mobile poker tournaments than for manufacturing phones. Our heart has been broken enough times to know that watch phones make better prototypes than they do shipping products, but we can't help get a little excited here: the m300 promises a speakerphone, Bluetooth, and color display in a fairly normal-looking waterproof casing. You can preorder the device for for $499 (possibly Australian dollars) with a promised shipping date of December 2006, but we think we're going to sit back and let this one play out a bit before we bite.

Aren't almost all watches mobile?
By the way, their catchphrase "The future is now" doesn't fill me with confidence about the watch's timekeeping abilities

OK everyone... http://www.m500.org is up and running with a forum that is not closed (cough cough mymobilewatch). ;) It should help you keep up to date with this awesome product!
This site was started for the M500, but is open to any watch phone out there. :)
Please run through things, sign up for the BB, and let me know how things feel work. I've run many a server in the past and still do, but, strangely enough, I've never run a forum. So, this should be fun. :) Feel free to start things off by adding what we've discussed if you so choose.
If you feel there should be a category in the forum, let me know. There is a contact page that goes to me on the site. :)
Ciao,

Rick De Vaney is a scam artist.
www.m500.org forum is a scam. www.mycellwatch.com is a scam.
They censor those that got cheated and ripped off from sms tech.
Here is just one of the posts that was deleted because it tells the story about sms technology:
------------------
For Rick De Vaney: (The forum owner)
Good luck with your faulty watch.
Good luck dealing with those that got ripped off.
Good luck with those posters with multiple ID's pumping SMS.
Good luck thinking you can censor people.
Good luck with your forum and all it's 15 legitimate user ID's.

For princess gav: (The scam artist selling bogus mobile watches)
You should at least tell the people about how you couldn't pay the
Chinese manufature which is why they went ahead and sold the M300's as
they were already made, and how you had the odosity to post all over
about how they were fakes. (consedince why they called the so call
fake ones M300 as well? Because they were already made with that logo
on them.)
You should tell the people that the delays over the last 18 months all
while promising delivery next 7 days that you were just raising money
for the Chinese manufature. It had nothing to do with trying to perfect
the so called M500 or else they wouldn't be having hardware and
software problems.
Delivering a mobile watch 18 months late after taking your customers
hard earned cash is nothing for you to be proud of. You released a
product that is nothing but faulty. That's right, I have one sitting
in front of me now and the product is weak. Very weak.
You have failed yet again.

Thanks for the 411 Prince now it makes sense why a Chinese company would release a mobile watch branded M300!!!
My M500 is no good now as it went dead after the 3rd day!
Now I'm pissed!
James @ Nov 15th 2007 3:14PM
My friend and I ordered 2 each of the M500 from SMS and 8 months later those bastards sent us our orders and none of them work! NONE!
Javier @ Dec 3rd 2007 3:35AM
I got my M500 after waiting 11 months (they said delivery in 7 days) and guess what??? the watch falls apart! It's a "PLASTIC" case and it keeps wanting to come off and the stylus never stays in the strap plus the speakerphone does not wotk plus the screen has major dead pixels!
Oh by the way, you can forget about support as no one replies to E-mails nor do they ever answer the phones.
Bottom line is that I got took for $1,000!!!
