The Boy Genius Report: Cingular snags Motorola V3i, Sony Ericsson w810

Not that the V3i making its way to Cingular is that much of a surprise (they already have the SLVR, after all), but it looks like the blue V3i slip-up on the Cingy site was, indeed, foretelling the device's launch on the Nation's heaviest carrier any day now. The curveball we didn't see coming, however, is the Sony Ericsson w810, which is supposedly going to be launched next month. We know the phones and what they do, so all we have now is to wait and see when they hit, and how much they're gonna hit us up for.

The Hermes and the Oxygen are coming 4Q06. The Startrek should launch in Aug. as the 3125/3100.

i think VZW has the better lineup for the RAZR. they already have a RAZR with 3G(EVDO) and video streams and music d-loads and a memory slot.

I've spoken to Cingular reps who showed me pictures of the blue RAZR v3i, and it is indeed blue. I forget what they call it, something like "lightning blue" or something rediculous.

The correct term for the motorola blue is "cosmic blue". I have been selling that color for the V3 since January. Its a very nice color but I wish that motorola made the whole phone that color and not two tone.

I am really happy to see the SE W810 come to Cingular. Hopefully the price will be reasonable and it is a very worthy replacement for the W600. In all honesty, I cannot wait for the new treo with WM5 to drop.

Jamie, the cosmic blue color is for the original V3 razr. the v3i is a completely different phone.

Wow! Canada actually got some phones before the U.S. for once. We've had the V3i and W810i on Rogers Wireless for over a month now. The pricing is ridiculous, though. The W810i is CAD 299.99$ and the V3i is CAD 289.99$, both on a THREE year contract!

Ive givin up on getting excited about anything cingular says they are going to do. the zx10 launch was delayed and a bust. the v3i launch is a joke. its been out for over a year and the cingular version will have no improvments over the original now outdating v3i. No edge or nothing in a umts age. I dont understand them. I used to think cingular had it going on, but they are letting verizon kick there butts, the verizon razr is up to modern specs and OUT. Ive lost all faith in cingular and moto. Im stuck with cingular, I will be getting a d807. cingular and moto are blowing it once again.

You can buy a v3i on ebay right now for under $200.00 with shipping (BRAND NEW) they are unlocked for any gsm service!!!!!!They will be more than that with Cingular and you will have to sign for 2 more years!!!! I paid $175 and a cool phone!!!

i just bought an 810 from a local dealer. It is beautiful and works flawlessly. I payed 379 for the phone, unlocked. I have it on cingular and it works great. the EDGE is very fast, the operating system is so far ahead of my moto razr... i don't know about updates for the v3i with regards to operating system.. but if it is the same UI as the old v3... then I don't see the point in getting that phone. It looks nice... but not sure what else (1.3 mp camera??)
