Samsung's new i320N in the wild
It turns out our paranoia hunch was correct last week when we thought we spotted an alternate version of Samsung's Q-killing i320. The re-designed GSM device rocks a different keyboard shape than the original, but boasts similar specs, including a 1.3-megapixel camera (with flash), QVGA screen, stereo speaker, Bluetooth and EDGE support. Still no info on pricing or availability on this Windows Mobile powered hotness, but we've got our fingers crossed that this makeover won't drive the price tag through the proverbial roof. With all these Q knocks (like TechFaith, for one) making it out though, we imagine competition in price is gonna be pretty stiff.

Yes, but is it the "world's thinnest" smartphone? Perhaps the i320N can take the title from Motorola and change its name to the Ultra Edition 10.9
One can only dream...

Good point, number 2. If you look closely, there are outlines stenciled around two keys, possibly indicating that in dial mode, you can hit either key to produce the same number. Having owned a Motorola Q for 11 days, and several Pocket PCs before that, I can only hope that the Samsung version implements WM5 more smoothly than Motorola did; othewise it's going to be another Smartphone dud...destined for teenage texters, and gadget freaks instead of hardcore business/Blackberry users.

So, does this actually run the Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC or Smartphone. The link doesn't specify. I am disappointed that it doesn't utilize the Q's blackberry-esque scroll wheel. That's very handy for e-mail navigation.

You don't really get an idea of how great this phone is until you have one sitting in your hands. The Q feels like a toy and the blackberry feels like a industrial device. The i320N is the perfect email/PDA/phone solution.
Nice short review I found. Has a cool 360 view of the phone that gives you a better idea of its size.
