Treo 650 "Black Tie Edition" for Asia-Pacific?
We're having an awful time confirming whether this is legit, but word is spreading across Palm's Asia-Pacific community that the Treo 650 is going to get one last hurrah as the "Black Tie Edition." Yes, this is just a Treo 650 that's gone through the paint shop; nothing new to report in the way of specs, but Palm will reportedly be throwing in a special "multifunction" stylus and hard case to sweeten the deal. We know our American readers are rearing to list their 700p on eBay and get in on this, but sadly, it doesn't look like we'll be getting any stock in these parts.[Thanks, Cullen]

I'll stick with my new Treo 700p thanks :)
I'm lovin' it!
I don't quite see the point of repainting this thing, but I guess if they think it'll help 'em move a few thousand more units then I guess. I dunno, whatever. Seems like too little too late.

Gregory Smith (Ephram)from the WB's now deceased drama Everwood has used a black Treo 650 since November or so.
Everwood was one of those shows that was big on product placement, so Ephram would mention the fact that he was ________ (insert adj) on his Palm Treo 650. Everytime he pointed that out I'd think to myself WTF, it's black - that's not a Treo!

Got to admit i like the look of this phone but sometimes these phones seem a bit bulky.

The Black Edition looks so cool! I'm from the Philippines and had a hard time choosing between Treo and the SE P990i. After trying both phones it seems that I made the right choice of getting it.
