We got more package porn here for ya today, though this time it isn't our own. Engadget Mobile reader and self-proclaimed Gadget Guru Andy Pargh hooked us up with some shots he snapped of him tearing open his box to reveal the sweet, sweet treasure within -- the 700p. Looks like Sprint didn't get
the last laugh after all -- unless some of you already have a Sprint 700p and have been holding out on us. Don't hold out on us, people!

mmm.. Wonder when he placed his order. I placed mine for a Sprint 700p yesterday, then cancelled today and reordered to get the free 1gig SD upgrade.

Stephen Mortensen @ May 24th 2006 7:54PM

Just before 10 AM EDT, my phone was delivered to my job. I opened it up and it looks great. It will be a few hours before I get home to back up my Treo 650 and then load up the new phone from Verizon Wireless.
By the way, I ordered it early Monday Morning, May 22 on line. For some reason (and I'm not complaining, mind you), the bumped up the shipping to standard overnight and charged me $70 less for the phone. I was not eligible for the discount as my two years were not up yet so the price was supposed to be $619 (YIKES!). The invoice in the box said $549.
Thanks Verizon!
I will post a review later today or tomorrow.

Is it me or does that look like a Palm OS in the 700 screenshots? Certainly doesn't look like Windows...
777php @ May 25th 2006 1:42PM
#11 - It's the Treo 700p... as in Palm
Mike Manzano @ May 25th 2006 3:28PM
My 700p will be here tomorrow at 7pm. Woot. I'm upgrading from a Blackberry and have never used a Palm. Maybe I'll blog about it.

Looks like David H missed the last boat to idiot island :P
dbriansmith @ May 30th 2006 7:14PM
so, it looks like I'm switching from sprint to verizon... this is the phone that I think I want... I'm a mac user... How is the bluetooth sycning? I know that it used to suck on Verizon, is it different with this new phone? What about using the EV-DO as a modem with my PowerBook? Any chance I can get any of this to work?
sox_nathan @ Jun 13th 2006 3:16PM
No need to switch from Sprint from Verizon for this phone. Sprint has the 700p for sale now. Make sure that your zip has EVDO (Power Vision) available...
